First implementation of real-time transmission of information on the migration of Chinese sturgeon

On the morning of April 12th, China Three Gorges Corporation held the 57th Chinese sturgeon release event, releasing a total of 3000 second-generation Chinese sturgeons from large-scale grids, which is currently the largest release of second-generation Chinese sturgeons from large-scale grids. At the same time, the Chinese Sturgeon Research Institute will use real-time transmission technology at various monitoring stations along the river for the first time to fully monitor the migration information of released Chinese sturgeons.

From 1984 to 2014, more than 6 million Chinese sturgeons were released by various scientific research institutions along the Yangtze River. Among them, the Chinese Sturgeon Research Institute of Three Gorges Group released more than 5 million Chinese sturgeons of various specifications, and in 2009, it successfully achieved full artificial reproduction of Chinese sturgeons, achieving uninterrupted reproduction of Chinese sturgeons every year.
