Use a 180 degree fisheye lens and a high-definition digital camera to obtain plant canopy images from below or above the forest floor, and then process the image data files to obtain parameters related to the canopy structure, such as leaf area index, lighting gaps, and gap distribution.
Major function
Use a 180 degree fisheye lens and a high-definition digital camera to obtain plant canopy images from below or above the forest floor, and then process the image data files to obtain parameters related to the canopy structure, such as leaf area index, lighting gaps, and gap distribution.
By analyzing the relevant information of radiation data, WinSCANOPY can calculate the PAR intercepted by the canopy and the radiation level below the canopy. Its software can calculate radiation indicators, canopy indicators, light coverage at measurement locations, and the distribution of direct and diffuse light.
Mask function: View caps mask a certain image area in order to make effective direct analysis of a specific area. It can be set at any angle and direction within 0-360 degrees. Chart analysis function: direct radiation, diffuse radiation, and total radiation changes; Radiation changes above and below the canopy per hour within a day; The daily radiation changes within a specific day of the season; GAP varies with each elevation or direction, as well as the LAI leaf area index.
Measurement parameters
Measurement parameters of canopy structure: translucency area, gap index, leaf area index (LAI), leaf inclination distribution (LAD), mean leaf inclination (MLA), leaf projection coefficient, single plant leaf density, cluster index, single plant LAI, analysis of individual leaf area and soil cover non hemisphere images, individual canopy analysis, gap size distribution, and full screen fisheye image analysis.
Radiation measurement parameters: scattering factor, direct radiation and scattering above and below the canopy, direct radiation and total radiation during special periods, direct radiation, scattering, total radiation factor, ratio of direct radiation time under the canopy, ground slope, and daily distribution of light spots.
