ViaSpec ™ It is a flexible and easy-to-use laboratory hyperspectral measurement platform produced by Middleton Corporation (MSV). This system provides flexible imaging, amplification, and lighting options for capturing hyperspectral images. The system is equipped with a transmissive lighting source for measuring thin films and other semi transparent materials. The transmission configuration performs better than the reflection configuration in optical analysis of many samples. These samples may include: bands or patches used in biopharmaceuticals, tissue slices used in medical research, or artificial tissue samples (processed or untreated). In addition, any semi transparent thin film material within the near-infrared wavelength range can be sampled under a transmitted light source.

Camera configuration
ViaSpec ™ The hyperspectral imaging system can be paired with any spectral camera provided by Middleton. The wavelength range depends on the selected sensor and varies between 400-2500nm. The spectral camera can be mounted on ViaSpec using a quick installation bracket ™ On the framework. The standard manual Z-axis adjustment is used for focusing.
Platform and Framework
ViaSpec ™ The hyperspectral imaging system has a glass platform for transmission. As an alternative to glass platforms, a horizontal reflection platform is also provided, which customers (or MSVs as required) can adjust according to the size and shape of different samples, such as seeds, tablets, etc. Different cameras and spectrometers can be installed on ViaSpec through corresponding adapter boards ™ Up. Customized adapter boards can also be designed to accommodate the installation of other cameras.
Lighting settings
Halogen light sources are all ViaSpecs ™ Standard configuration for hyperspectral imaging systems. Halogen light sources can be switched to fiber optic line light sources (external light sources are required). In addition to the standard transmission light source, ViaSpec ™ Two reflective light sources are also equipped for reflectance spectrum measurement, but this option must be specified at the time of ordering. There are two types of reflective light sources to choose from: halogen line light sources and direct illumination, with a wavelength range between 400-2500nm. It contains four 20W light bulbs for reflection measurement, and the same configuration is also applied to transmission light sources. There are two light sources installed on a common positioning arm for uniform double-sided sample illumination.
